Subject: Problem finding "correct" repro '65-'66 Seat Track knobs.

Has anyone ever noticed this?

I am looking for a exact repro of the original type seat track knob.  So far, no luck.   I know that someone repros them.. as I have had them in the past.  Anyone know who?

The repros that I keep getting for '65-'66 are not accurate.  They look like later '69-'70 knobs and have a much more "arched" end where your thumb would go.  I'm looking a "correct" repro that will match an original.  I have even noticed that the later "NOS" Ford knobs are just like the '69-'70 "more arched" type.

The original type '65-'66 seat track knob practically has no arch to it and it more straight up and down when you look at its profile.

Help.

"correct" repro, isn't that an oxymoron?

With as many '65 - '66 seats that were made I would think your best bet to match the other "original" would be to search for an acceptable original in the wanted section.

????????

I don't know what to say to that one.......I think...

You won't find many originals, seeing as how the only way to remove the original knob is to destroy it.   Once it's on, It's on forever.

....and Yes, There is a "correct" repro out there.... as I have had them in the past.  I just don't know who the maker was as the bag was not marked.

Someone out there sells and makes them.... I just don't know who...yet..

Tried that already.  VA Mustang carries the Daniel Carpenter Seat Track knobs which use the later '69-'70 2nd type mold which is much more curved and more "arched"....Not correct for '65 through '68. - Which should have almost a straight up and down profile with barely no "arch" to it.
