AC Brushes for 1967 San Jose 289
« on: November 17, 2011, 02:34:26 PM »
For my unrestored 67 San Jose 289 Mustang, I do not have the correct AC brushes.  I replaced them in the early 80's and didn't keep the originals >:(. BTW, the AC still works and I only recently had to add 1 can of R12.

I have found some NOS brushes.  One set does not have any stamping on the bracket and another set has FOMOCO with a C8 number.  Would either one of these sets be close enough for my 67 in order to prevent losing points in MCA unrestored?  Is it possible that some AC brushes came from the factory without any stamping on the metal bracket?

I have not had any luck finding an original set.

The C3 or C7 are most likely what was on your car.  The C8 is a later service replacement and a blank one is not OEM.
