Topic: 67 holley 4150 choke springs

After having some issues with my choke I looked at the choke spring and it,and others I looked at to use as replacements had a number on it, the one I started with was marked with the number 132. I thought getting a new one would be the fix so my question is are these numbers important or would any new spring work? The application is a 67 390 auto with thermactor, A/C ps, pdb.

For 1967 390 w/C6 & T/E. your carb is C7OF-D. In the chart, that's code "20H". For the choke cover, the H indicates a "GTA"-marked choke cover.

Thanks WT8095, the correct cover I have but the spring I believe is the issue and just may be worn out. I have looked at a few springs and they all seem to have different numbers on them, Im guessing like a scale of sorts.

The cover & spring are an assembly, identified as a unit by the marking on the cover. The bi-metal element was not serviced separately. If you want to replace just the spring, you would need to take one from a like-marked housing, i.e. another "GTA". I can't answer what the numbers indicate. They may or may not be related to the functionality of the element, or they could be a date code. If someone else here doesn't have an answer, we may be able to look at the numbers you've found and reverse-engineer them.
