Heater Hose Hoopla!
« on: August 10, 2011, 01:13:47 PM »
Found this on a pair of heater hoses off of a 70 Mustang with a 351C.  They are yellow stripe heater hoses date coded LQ9K11C (short one) and LQ0E12A on the long one. I also found the hoses ink stamped in big white letters - the long one is stamped D0ZA 18472V 44" and the short one (went to the back of the intake tube) has a partial stamp of C7AA 18472 and then its cut off.  It is hard to make out some of the print. The long one is 36 inches long, so perhaps it was trimmed maybe?  Never seen these tsamps before, perhaps someone can clue us in. I love discovery. - Dave

Thanks for sharing - now for the follow up ;)

Where was the car built and when? Since different suppliers might have been used depending on plant or time period

Unfortunately I don't know.  I think it is a late Dearborn car but I can't be sure - it was sitting on a stack of heater boxes.  I do know that it was a 351 car because of the single short hose and tower clamps on both ends of both hoses.
