choke cable question
« on: June 23, 2011, 11:09:01 AM »
I'm working on a 66 SJ K code fastback. Mid April build.  What is the correct fastener to attach the bracket to the dash. Size, finish ,etc.   Also, where the cable attaches to the carb, how much of the coiled metal covering is exposed coming out of the rubber sheath.   Thanks,  Doug

Believe the assembly manual calls this out, but what I have found is a somewhat flattened hex bolt with an attaching nut that has a captured tooth washer or a lock washer.

I don't know if this helps you or not but here is a pic of my early April Metuchen K code choke cable.

Thanks to both of you. Just the info I needed. When you buy a car that already completely disassembled and put it together, there are alot of detail questions that arise. Thanks , Doug
