The 1969 gained a thicker diameter Shifter Lever. If a 69-70 Handle is mounted to an Early shifter it will wobble around and not sit tight, an Earlier Handle will not even slide on to a 69-70 shifter, IIRC. Andrew

Ditto..I agree.

I've actually seen these thicker t-handle ones show up on quite a few late '68 cars..  The other handle looks like a standard '65-'66.  The super thin '64.5 one is not shown here, but can be found compared to a standard '65-'66 one on Bob Aiberto's '64.5 website.
