I'm slowly piecing together a June 5th, 1969 Metuchen Mach 1. It's a 351 car with the FMX automatic. When I got the car, it was disassembled, and poorly at that.
To make a long story short, what mounts the arm on the bottom of the shifter to the transmission shifter rod? I know the rod is slotted for adjustment, but I have no idea what should've gone there originally. It would have to be some sort of slotted bolt/pin that would fit the slot in the transmission rod, or so I would think. I was looking at Toploader parts, and this looks a lot like what I need:
