Topic: Master Cylinder Cap

I need help identifying the master cylinder cap.  It was on an original Bendix master cylinder with the original Bendix gadket.

Thanks.  That was one of my first places I checked and none of the examples had the same information stamped to the lid.

It's not a made for Ford cap without the ESA specification, but rather a generic Bendix cap.

Appears to be a later replacement based on the picture you provided and its features

Sorry can't recall when DOT 3 standard was introduced

It is most likely generic 68-69 IMO. It could be a little later . In 72 or 73 the caps started to be produced with vent made into the top . Since it doesn't have the vent in the top most likely dates it prior to that .
