This is an original shaker air cleaner base that would have been used on a 1969 390 equipped Mustang with a shaker. Almost identical to a 428 shaker in appearance except for the additional ring around the top edge that makes the shaker sit slightly higher. 5.82 inches vs 5.5 inches in height. Very hard piece to find if you have a 390 car.
If you remove the ring thats in there, then its perfectly correct for a 1969 428 shaker air cleaner base. Thats the only difference.
