1968 390 Shock Tower weld vs Wrap around plate
« on: December 18, 2023, 05:34:53 PM »
Looking at a 1968 390 car built at the Dearborn plant on 04/15/1968. It does not have wrap around shock tower reinforcement plates. It does however have welds on the standard shock tower plate. I know that date for 390 cars having these wrap around plates is 04/01/1968. Any variance here? Thank you!

I do not think that was a hard date. It most likely was different in the three plants as they used up the old inventory.
