Lastly, when I checked the old TS switch, it seems like the lower portion of the actuator, white lower portion where the TS stalk moves the upper switching between left and right, does look a "dark" yellow on the ends. Kinda like it is discolored from heat? but not sure, can't imagine that much heat would've been created is just about 5 secs, but I will say that the right turn signal socket in the hood scoop was warm when I pulled it like it was grounded out?

A direct short in the load, ie hood harness or bulb can cause a huge amount of current flow through the wiring and TS switch,  heating up very quickly, enough to melt the nylon, etc.  I would make sure the hood harness and bulbs have no shorts to ground before trying to reconnect.

Great question, from the start, all I did was replace the bulb on the right side signal , for the hood scoop harness. I will say that there are small white plastic inserts  - spacers - ? and one had fallen out. I put it back and  made sure the bulb fit snuggly in there. That's when I turned the key on and instantly the right turn signal started flashing repeatedly, but NO sound of the flasher. I then turned the key off, went out to pull the socket out of the right side hood scoop indicator, and it was WARM! When I inspected the socket, it looks like the metal button connector down in the socket, the part that touches the bottom of the bulb, looked like it could have been touching the wall of the socket? Other than that I have now idea what happen, and therefore feel the harness is defective. I will be contacting them, hopefully today to discuss. It is a $40 harness, one would hope it is made properly.

 Sorry, I just read your post 67350#1242, and I believe this is what happened. I am a little hesitant to put the harness back, even a new one. The TS switch is a good $100 a shot, but the time it took to blow the fuse was enough to seemingly heat up and ruin the TS switch and TS flasher.  :'(

I spoke with NPD, they will be sending a credit back as they are currently out of stock. At this point, I will be looking for a good used harness.
