Windshield or Dash Pad First? 67
« on: September 16, 2011, 08:26:31 PM »
Trying to figure out the best order of assembling the interior.  I seem to remember when I pulled the dash pad that it is easier to remove with the windshield out.  I was thinking of installing the windshield last but is that going to make getting the seal in place difficult?
One other question, when do the A-Piller Pads go in?

I usually install the dash pad first them the windshield. The pillar pads can go in after the windshield. I am assuming the headliner is all ready installed? Marty

Leave the dash pad trim moldings off till after the windshield is in. I wish you well in fishing for the screw holes that secure the dash pad trim moldings. I had a real struggle for some odd reason!

I don?t understand, seems like it would be easier to put the 2 metal dash pad trim pieces in before the windshield goes in? Why install the dash pad, then windshield, then the 2 metal trim pieces?

The windshield seal is roped in from the inside.  There would be no clearance to pull the rope out with the metal trim pieces installed first.
