I believe in last months MM there is an article showing a low milage 69 Boss 429 which was restored by Bob Perkins. An incredible job to bring the car back to on the build line detailing. One pic shows a closeup of the master cylinder and I noticed that the casting was painted black but the faces of the raised casting at the connection to lines was bare cast iron. Is this a 69 or Boss 429 detail only? Seems odd that the booster and master would have been painted (as an assembled unit) and then this area machined afterwards. Getting ready to bleed brakes before picking up motor next week and want to get things right. Would this practice have been done on a late 68?
