Restoring the evaporator assembly on my 64.5 and noticed that the side registers had some residue that appears to be dried up white grease inside the grooves and on the ?rubber band? bushings. I?m assuming that this is white lithium grease to make it easy to rotate the registers. Am I right in thinking (1) this is remnants of a lubricant and (2) is white lithium grease the best thing to use now or is there a modern alternative that?s an improvement? Thanks.
