This is what I have for my June 64' 260..
Dip stick length from tip of stick to bottom of stick seat = just over 24"
Oil full level from tip of stick = 2"
But since you are seeing "more" oil than you should check your dip stick tube that goes into the timing cover. My original tube measures 15". If yours is less, that means the dipstick is going further down into the oil, and giving you an over-filled reading.
