New Project - Quater Scoop Bracket Question
« on: April 07, 2023, 10:53:10 AM »
I just picked up this beauty. Sept 68 date code Metuchen built. Sportsroof 'H' code. She's a little toasty but the body is rock solid.
I am new to the Mustang (been building a CJ Cougar lately)

I noticed that the bracket that the side scoops bolt to are missing on this car.
I see that they are part of the full aftermarket quarter panel, however I can't find them as a standalone purchase.
Can they be found aftermarket or am I stuck trying to find used?

Find out what the Ford hardware part number is and then check AMK for availability.

You would have to likely contact the makers of the reproduction panels or one of the vendors that carries them, not AMK since they are basically hardware. Believe these are attached to the repo quarters being sold  but don't recall  them being available by themselves. Someone like NPD should be able to answer your question quickly though you may be left with looking for one from a donor car or replaced quarter panel.

When you find out, post here to help others who will read this in the future

Turns out the quarter scoop mount is part of the aftermarket quarter and not sold separately. I am going to go ahead and just install full quarters as mine were spliced together sometime in the past.
