1968 Shelby center console lid
« on: July 27, 2023, 09:28:44 PM »
I have heard rumors but have not seen any pictures or center console lids that look any different than what I have here.  Curious if anyone has seen the console stamping slightly different on an original.  This is what I consider correct originals:

To complicate things it is known that the console lid imprint has been reproduced for over 40 years. If you compare your two examples are different in the area of the chest scales. One goes in and the other out.

So your thinking this area is different that I circled here?
Both of these covers I have off the lids and from the backing material they look the same and what appears to be original materials.

Noticed these differences. Are these good representations of them or poor pictures, angle or contrast?

I agree....I need to get better photos and post here for comparison.  Could be the way the photo is being taken.
