original drive shaft
« on: May 20, 2011, 11:12:41 PM »
I'm restoring my wife's first car she bought when she was sixteen.  When we were dating in highschool (1980) somebody stole the drive shaft.  It was replaced by her father, with what I don't know.  Are there any identifying numbers or features I can check to see if it is the correct year or even if it is a mustang drive shaft.

There are some features of the drive shaft which could date it, but there really isn't any number stamping or identification that ties it directly to any car.  If you post some pics of what you have, I'm sure someone can help.
