Gets Better Every Day

Today I cleaned up and detailed my rear brake drums.  The more I do to this car, the more I realize how good it was when I first bought it in 79.

The brake drums are THE ORIGINAL ONES!  Turned a couple of times in their life but still within spec'.
One is a Kelsey Hayes with a 6B7 date code.  The other one is a FOMOCO one that I can only read the first digit "6".
They look identical except fot the weights.

Wheel cylinders were OE also but they were pitted pretty badly.

Parts like that are hard to find replacements for if you don't have them.  Got lucky on the k convertible, it had all the original brake drums, including the fronts.

A week or two ago I was working on the 68 HCS rear axle when I discovered that one of the drums had been replaced. A guy came to the shop about a hour latter with some Mustang stuff to sell and he had a rear axle with 2 Ford drums for $25. Needless to say I bought it. It is all ways better to be lucky than good. That Ford Rear-End?  Let's see if I can get lucky.

It would not "happen" to be a 2:80 1966 with a FEB 66 or MAR 66 date would it?

For you guys with Ford Master Parts Lists,  will the differential, ring, and pinion from the 2:80 '67 rear end, that I have, fit in this carrier?
