Have not seen that keeper on any of the OEM emergency brake assemblies that I have repaired for the shop. Service replacement maybe?

I took two apart and found this spring clip, but ONLY ONE in the "pile" of parts (see attached picture taken several months ago, it is in there). I have no pictures of it in place at disassembling either. Just crap off the shop floor? It fits in there so much exact in size and all. Maybe I am on a dry and dusty road all alone!

Both assemblies I have are original equipment units with the block letter FoMoCo stamps.

Nice. Mine does not appear to have a FoMoCo stamp. I thought it was original until now. I wonder if any originals did not have a stamp or should I start assuming mine is not original

I have what appears to be a 68 PB mech. and it's not the same as the 67.
When installed in the floor/firewall, which direction are the captive studs?
Vertical or horizontal?

So....today, I do a brake job on a 2015 Caravan and look at what it has attached to the brake pad shims...
...does it look familiar?

No coincidences in life, this is my creator (along with Scott's comment) that helps put my mind out of "spin cycle"!

I'm trying to install the parking brake handle assembly on my 67 mused convertible. The only problem is I can't get the cable ball to go into the inner shaft on the parking brake handle assembly. I read on another forum that you have to remove the pin on the inner shaft of the parking brake handle assembly to be able to install the cable ball into the shaft. I tried to remove the pin but it wouldn't budge. Is this information accurate that. the pin has to be removed? If so, any suggestions on how to remove the pin?.

Yes the pin has to be removed. The factory provided a hole behind it so you can easily punch it out. Installation is just as easy, use a small hammer.
