Hi all. If you came across a January 68 390gt manual. Built obviously in 67.
Would you expect the car to be fitted with a 67 or 68 carburetor? Regards

I think you got confused. A January 68 390 Mustang is identified as such because it was finished in January 68 and not 67. A 68 production 390 GT manual Mustang will typically have the C8OF-C  carb . That is a 68 carb. The first letter in the engineering number stands for the decade in this case C (60's) and the second number for the year in this case 8 (68) . That is when the part first started being used in production. The carb may have a 1967 date code when it was mfg. however.
