Onward replacing the cracked bushings and crusty  bolts on my sway bar link.  They are badly cracked and the bolts are a rusty mess.  What are the finishes of the bolts and nut for my 68? Of course I'm assuming the bushings are black.

have you checked the library section here? or do you have the assembly manuals? both are excellent resources for that type of info.

I did do a search but didn't come up with any info.  Amy help would be appreciated.  Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms/words.

The bolt and washers are typically Phosphate and oil ,the spacer is bare steel or zinc silver and the the nut is zinc or cad silver. Just get a AMK kit that comes with everything including bushings in proper appearance.

And avoid the Scott Drake kit because nearly all the components are incorrect.
