Just chalk it up to generic drawings and a reason to compare details to unrestored cars built around the same time period and plant

Drawings can be very diagrammatic, to show an idea of what is happening. I'm a draftsman myself.

I would be hesitant to put a bracket in line with the fan behind the pulley. I'd be more likely to put it behind if the geometry is not pulled out of alignment.
