Topic: Repro '70 Mustang hood molding comparison?

Has anyone been able to review and compare the available reproduction hood moldings for a 1970 Mustang?
I have been unsuccessful so far in my search to find a good NOS molding, so I am reluctantly considering the purchase of a reproduction.
I see ads for repro moldings from Goodmark, Dynacorn, Scott Drake, and possibly others.
Has anyone used one and how did it fit and look? I know the fasteners are incorrect, but how does the molding itself look and fit?

I tried to fit a corvex hood trim molding after my original was damaged from my garage door.  Don't bother, with corvex, it is bad in many ways.  You could try the scott drake piece, maybe its better than corvex.   I had my orginal trim restored to perfection. I would put a parts wanted request at applicable mustang forums.  There are trim shops that can restore trim dents, bends etc and put an OE finish on it.  Good Luck!  Alan

All of the repro hood lip mouldings for a 1970 that I've tried all pretty much suck, I'm guessing they are all made by the same place. Because of this, the price of NOS 70 moldings has skyrocketed ($250-$400 give or take) Something to look out for is that the factory (NOS) moldings were just shipped from Ford in a paper wrapper and they are kind of fragile, so alot of the NOS stuff you find now is missing the hardware kit and has some shelfware or damage. If you find an NOS one, try and examine it in person to make sure it's still in good shape. 2 of the last 4 NOS mouldings I bought recently were either scuffed up , probably by the hardware kit, or bent ....

Probably one of the hardest Pieces of NOS trim to find for a 70 that used to be real common.... The 3 strips that hold the honeycomb panel on are also REALLY tough to find NOS.
