I am looking for a description of how the wiring harness was run for the automatic shifter light from the under dash harness to the tunnel. My best guess is that it was run behind the firewall pad and up against the firewall on the inside. and then taped to the transmission tunnel as it ran back to the shifter housing. Thanks for the help!

Yes you have the routing correct. The number of taped locations to the tunnel vary a little but typically only in one place but as shown in the pictures some got a second piece some worker added
