I have had three 64.5's in my life. My dad's he ordered on April 17 with blue interior, A May ?? Pagoda Green with White/black interior and my currect project car, a Late June Red with Red interior. All three had white headliners. (yes I know naturally the white/black obviously would) but were all headliners white in 64.5?

The changeover to colored headliners happened later in Fall '64 production.  IIRC, some of the first ones that showed up were around the Dec/Jan time frame.  So, yes, would expect all 64.5 coupes to have had a white headliner.

I assume the carpet would reach all the way up the door sills, like the '65s. Not with the vinyl edge strip like very early Dearborn cars.

I have a sept 64 Prairie bronze/palamino fastback and have seen and photographed a Nov 64 prairie pronze/palamino coupe that had the "64.5" carpet, stopped at door sill,no toe guard and vinyl edge strip. Both were Dearborne cars. So it is a myth that the carpet was a 64.5 thing as it went into 65 production. IIRC cars up to Jan 65 could be found with it.

The 26A scheduled date San Jose coupe that I used for parts had the early style carpet.  Palomino/white interior.

Hi dave yes my car is a conv what color did my top came out with? it had a black top when we got it i put a white top on it, i'm thinking of going to black. is the carpet tan or black? it has palimno interior thanks sanjose64.
