65 SJ Running Change Survey - Fresh Air Knob
« on: November 17, 2021, 05:31:33 PM »
Working down the list of running changes that took place during 1965 production at San Jose as the title states, in this thread I focus on the fresh air knob on the drivers side of the interior to the left of the steering column below the dash panel

Earlier version with the large white "A" in the face of the knob

Later version without the knob face.

My findings:

Lowest sequential VIN with no A - 5R1522x - With a projected build date of Oct 28, 1964
Highest sequential VIN with the A - 5R15299x - With a projected build date of Oct 30, 1964

As a reminder, since the cars were not built in sequential order 5R1522x could easily be started/completed after 5R15299x
