69 Shelby side scoops
« on: August 08, 2021, 02:09:48 PM »
Do these 69 Shelby side scoops look to be original?  There are no markings that I can see.  TIA  John

They look to be missing the rear brackets that they slip over to hold them to the body on the inner back area. One of mine was broken and someone drilled through it to insert a screw.

Accurate looking but not a Concours Restoration/build. See my build photo gallery at 69GT350 Hertz Build

Thanks for the reference pics.  I don't see any evidence of the missing clips.

The two rear fasteners didn't hold particularly well on their own so AO Smith typically also added double sided tape around the perimeter to add more holding power.

I have the scoops and the clips that attach to the quarter panels.  I don?t have the brackets that are on the inside of the scoops.  Does anyone know where I can get these?  Or have a good closeup so I can make my own?
Please and Thanks
