Natural parts finish
« on: February 21, 2011, 11:03:30 PM »
Hi All

I'm working on a 4-69 NJ car. Was wondering if anyone can tell me the correct finish (look) for the following parts? Front shock caps
caliper shields
tie rod adjusters & clamps
strut rod washers
distibutor hold down
 throttle cable brkt
MCA rules say natural but doesn't seem to seperate natural, heat treated or phosphate & oil .
  Thanks

Shock cap-phosphate and oil, the caliper shields were plated silver. Tie rod adjuster sleeves-bare steel . The clamps were too but slightly darker . Strut rod washers were bare steel, BB distributor hold down was a dark phosphate and oil or heat treated steel finish. The throttle cable brkt was generally phosphate and oil. I hope this helps. Bob
