Eastwood products - Detail Gray & Diamond Clear
« on: April 22, 2021, 06:56:10 PM »
Has anyone used either of these Eastwood products, Detail Gray 10036Z, or a Diamond Clear, either in gloss or satin, 16105Z or 16106Z? Was wondering about using one of these on parts such as rear shock plates, leaf spring shackles, sway bar brackets after I clean them with EvapoRust. Just wondering if anyone has any reviews on these products. I know people use T-9 after cleaning with EvapoRust, how well does that hold up?

i would stick with the T-9 approach. those other products will not give a satisfactory concours appearance.

Will do, thank you for your input! I see that T-9 comes in an rattle can, should be easy to apply after EvapoRust!

Yes years ago used both products. The clear worked fine and like any clear. Eventually it rusted along the edges and where things were attached (even after brushing more clear over the items one assembled so stripped it and went the no clear paints on that car.

Detail gray was just what it was advertised as but didn't replicate bare metal in or opinion
