67 NJ radiator support seal
« on: March 28, 2021, 04:34:58 PM »
Did a 67 NJ car have a radiator support seal? The car has a 289. Is it only 6 cylinders and 390's come with the radiator support seal?

One of the other threads addressed originally San Jose 67's and this details but guess we haven't discussed NJ

Looking through what I have I see no evidence of them being installed on anything but T and S code equipped Mustangs that year

I'm guessing that you have confirmed that your radiator support is the original and it lacks any evidence of mounting/attachment holes

Have seen a fair number of owners in the past add these (normally just slipping them on) in hopes that it would improve the cars cooling/heat build up

Thanks Jeff! The radiator support was original, but it has already been replaced during the restoration. I didn't even realize that some cars had the seal, so I didn't think of looking at the original radiator support before it got replaced. Guess I won't be putting one on! Thanks!
