Help decoding front seat tag - 67 San Jose
« on: February 23, 2011, 05:42:57 AM »
Hi,

behind the front seat back panels are a tag on each seat, hooked with a hog-ring.

The Passenger side I pretty much get what that means, have found info on the web. But the drivers side one is a different larger cardboard tag with further data on it, and I cant seem to find any info about these.

The drivers side print is:

MSWBP 10 18 66
A A7F-2072 J8
C7ZB6564701C

The passenger side tag is the type that is aluminium faced, and reads

C7ZB 6564700 C 2week

So I assume the bottom line of the larger tag is matching the passenger tag for date and part no. etc.

Any help much appreciated! I had started wondering if it was some kind of buck tag type thing, but as it has no car-specific vin related data I'm thinking its just manufacturing info?

thanks

Aaron

There are posts every so often by owners like you wondering what these are - not very exciting or of great relevance to the cars history so the threads don't go far

Correct - just an ID tag applied from the sub contractor
