Is there a recommendation for a higher flow thermostat for 390 then the auto parts store ones?

I typically use the mr gasket hi flow thermostat or comparable. The design is quite distinctive . Jegs or Summit carry a variety. FYI Around dec 1966 Ford changed from a large diameter thermostat to a smaller thermostat on the fe engine. Your intake and or thermostat housing will dictate what you can use big or small.
