It's the Obsolete, Supercede Interchange manual. It gives exact dates that one item replaced another as a service part. Obviously anything in the MPC is an item a dealer could buy - not necessarily the same as the original item.

FWIW:  The 65 Quick Reference Catalog does identify a C5GF-A distributor as using a C5AZ-A vacuum advance. Brian

These two with 12378 cast into the body could be candidate's for the assembly line issue ?  No logo or makers ID.  These two came off of 65 distributors.  Brian

Bear in mind the QRC and the MPC are places to find part numbers for replacement parts that the dealer could order. Not necessarily what the line was using.

The more that they could group together and substitute a part for the less inventory a dealership or parts counter would need to carry
