67 Non-A/C Heater Motor Tape
« on: October 22, 2020, 09:28:34 PM »
I looked for quite a while and the only reference I could find to the heater motor tape on 67 non-A/C cars was Jim's great write-up on heater motor repairs. He says, " For 1964  thru  66  the  tape  used was a black masking tape. For 1967 it was one inch wide friction tape."
DeadNutsOn appears to indicate it might have been 1" wide black masking tape.
Amazingly, I can't find one post that verifies which it is.

FWIW, here are pictures of a NOS 1968 blower motor. The tape is certainly not friction tape.

Thanks CT428CJ !

I used 1" black masking tape and was ready to change it if required.
