« on: December 12, 2020, 08:07:34 PM »
Looking for information on your experience and recommendations for a panel spot welders.
Guidance on the brand, model that you have used and would you recommend it or use it on your next panel installation.
Thank you.

I can recommend that you NOT buy the Eastwood spot welder. The one I bought was used with an arc welder and had special spot welding rods. Pure garbage.

I purchased a used HTP Versa spot 7000 welder but haven't hood it up yet. The previous owner provided a demo and it created an awesome weld like an original old spot weld. It requires I believe 60 amps single phase power, all the big boys require 3 phase, and around 70psi of air pressure. As it pinches the weld it also pulsates.
All though HTP has discontinued this particular welder they still have parts to support it. HTP also sells the Quick Spot II, looks a step up from Eastwood, https://usaweld.com/products/quick_spot_ii. There is a You Tube video on both .
Hope this helps.
