fuel tank part number detail

hi all,
has anybody seen any sort of part numbers on fuel tanks as pictured? that they can post photos up please..

The stenciled C5ZZ number on a gas tank would be exclusive only to Ford replacement parts.  Would not have come from the factory like that.  The only thing we see on gas tanks, sometimes, is a steel manufacturer marking.

I've always found the same over the last 25+ years going through junkers and original cars..

**Also, Look at your pic above.  It is a replacement tank.  The 2nd half of the tank number refers it to also being a C7ZA-0002 Replacement.

That part number should read C7ZA-9002, not C7ZA-0002 as I listed above. I fat-fingered it when typing.  Just correcting myself!

One thing that hasn't been mentioned...  While it would be great to use a Ford service replacement gas tank, most of them did not come with a drain plug, so they wouldn't be correct for an early car.
