Topic: 1968 S-Code VIN Stamping

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere but having a hard time verifying.

Car is a 1968 S-Code built in 2/23/68 at the San Jose plant.

Should both heads be stamped with the VIN?  I've got visibility on the stamping for the driver's side  but having a hard time locating on the passenger side.  Wondering if the head is not original although everything else appears correct.

Its unlikely both heads were stamped. One place on the engine assembly is typically what is found. You can also look at casting dates and assembly stampings

All other castings/stampings align with the build date so think I'm probably good.

Only the driver side was stamped originally so that it is facing the firewall. Sometimes after engine work the heads get swapped and it ends up on the RH forward side.
