What is this part called?
« on: July 18, 2020, 09:20:41 PM »
Took this out of my drain well on my June 64 Dearborn convertible and can't for the life of me figure out what it's called or if anybody carries a reproduction of any kind. It broke apart when removing it last year- bottom side is covered in rust (from the very leaky drain well) and the top has Wimbledon White over spray all over it from a previous repaint job.

I put a piece on my bench wire wheel and underneath all the crud it seems to be made of a white plastic with a ridge/seam on one side. How the heck do I look this up on the internet by name?

Thanks,

Mark

Might want to get a copy of the MPC out and look through the exploded views/drawings. From there you will have a number you can look up in the text section of the MPC.

With that you'll have a part number and a name Ford used to identify it. Easy  ::)

A copy of Ford Car Parts (aka MPC) is available in the library under topic "ConcoursMustang.com Official 65 Mustang Article List" (it's the first entry).

I have looked at exploded views an all I can find are the chrome moldings where the boot snaps to. Am I just totally blind in the diagrams below? Maybe it's just some kind of seam sealer which probably wouldn't have a part number?
