Restoring the rotors on my K code, August, Dearborn 1966 fastback, I have pressed off the old original Kelsey Hayes rotors from the hubs. Glass bead blasted and painted the hubs with Eastwood cast iron high temp manifold paint. Glass beaded and Mag phosphated the original studs. I have the new Centric rotors ordered from NPD. Now I am ready to reassemble the new rotors to the hubs. My questions are, what orientation do I mate the rotor to the hub? Does it matter? Do I need to take assembled units to an automotive machine shop for balancing? Can they balance a two-piece unit? Or just true up the rotor surface? Any help from those on the forum who have already done this process would be greatly appreciated.
