Reverse T lever racket
« on: January 15, 2011, 10:44:21 PM »
65 4 speed shifter question.  On the shifter shaft is the reverse ' T ' lever. This Assembly/part seems to be missing an ' O ' ring or bushing as it is loose and has been this way for years.  This thing is rattling and ting dinging away as I am driving.  Any body got a fix for this racket?  The lower shift mount bushings have been replaced.  Other than the noise the shifter is working just fine.  Brian

There was a plastic sleeve in there originally.  You'll need to have the shifter disassembled and a new sleeve put in.  Bill Heeley can do this:  301-774-6710
