Just looking for a little help/opinion on the color/coating used on the 5.0 HO. While other years are the same, I have a '92 motor I'm working on. The specific parts I'm curious about are the upper intake plenum and aluminum valve covers. The tone looks too gray, and not really metallic enough, to be argent paint. I could be wrong on this, that's just how it appears to me. Based on the durability of the coating it also seems the parts were not painted but (possibly), powder coated. When the cover plate is removed from the upper plenum the interior appears to be extremely shiny, almost raw/bare, aluminum and totally different than the exterior. Thoughts, guesses, opinions on how and/or what to use to restore the finish to resemble new? If some has a info on a color that's a good match that would be great too. Thanks!
