Correct fuel pump gasket
« on: May 22, 2020, 05:07:58 PM »
I have a bunch of C3AZ-9417-C fuel pump gaskets but I wanted to check and see if these are correct for a 66’ 289 application? I’ve tried doing searches but not finding any pics to verify?

Your picture shows orange and the typical vintage gasket used had blue highlights. As long as you don't see the orange once the gasket is mounted you will be fine.  I would make the orange disappear if I was going to use them.

Good example of NOS/service replacement parts being farmed out to different sub contractors over the years. Haven't seen that name or pattern in the past

Thanks for your input. I will say, these are quite stiff, well made gaskets to what could be purchased today. They are closer to an exhaust manifold gasket, a very hard gasket overall.
