starter cable
« on: January 27, 2011, 12:06:00 AM »
Its been awhile since I took the car apart.  What is the correct routing for the starter cable?  I can't figure out where the brakets and retainers are supposed to go.  I've looked through all of my manuals and can't find a picture.  I have a 70 Mach 1 with 351 Cleveland.

Not something that is easy to take a picture (guess from below the car would be the best angle) since there are allot of things that can get in the way. Believe the 70 electrical assembly manual likely has the routing in it.

Lacking that I believe it travels downward from the relay/solenoid passing through the D clip attached to the inner fender, then backwards through the starter cable retaining brackets attached to the motor mount bolts and then to the starter. Would welcome any comment or correction (if need be) by other members.
