Adding Disc Brakes
« on: March 19, 2020, 07:04:31 PM »
So I want to add the factory disc brake setup to one of my cars. I assume the two raised areas are where I would drill the holes for the proportioning valve? Also what size hole are they supposed to be?

Look at the Chassis Assembly Manual. The mounting hardware part number is called out. Then look at the Mustang Hardware Spreadsheet 64-66 by part number. An appropriate size clearance drill can then be determined.

From a couple of 66 examples

They are at an angle from one another

Bottom left taken from the wheel well side - Top right from the engine compartment size

Don't have the size of each hole's measurement handy

I have factory DB on my 65 and both holes are the same size and just a bit over the thread size of the bolt (0.310).
