Toploader Filler Plug Marking
« on: April 25, 2020, 05:53:58 PM »
I've got what I believe is the original 4 speed toploader in a early 1968 San Jose S-Code.  The fill plug has what appears to be a W(?) on the fill plug.  Photo is attached.   Any idea if this is an original marking?  Maybe to annotate a wide ratio?

Yes that is a style of filler plug used on top loaders originally. Believe the marking indicate the supplier/maker of the sub contractor
