Main harness assembly question
« on: January 20, 2020, 05:09:18 PM »
In reviewing my main harness I noticed 2 wire straps holding some of the wires together in a group. I don't remember doing this when I disassembled. The wires look old.  So I am wondering if this was a factory procedure? See 1 and 11 oclock in my pics.

Are you talking about the black insulated pieces of copper wire twisted together shown in yellow in the attached picture?  If so, those are not original.

Never seen that in over 300 64.5-66 harnesses.

Those are examples of "modern" technology, like in the 1980-90 era.

that's exactly what I am referring too. Thanks for the responses  It looked odd to me but I had to ask. Now I know to remove them.
