It is natural. If you are driving your 69 Windsor, you can use a natural color spray paint. If your 69 is a trailered Mustang, you cannot use a natural spray paint per MCA rules. (If you are showing in the MCA)....Hope this helps.

Have to make a correction you can currently use "natural colors - paints" to reproduce what was originally not painted. That is likely what will be accepted through the 2011 show season for MCA ;)

So, your saying that natural color paint cannot be used on concours "driven" class in 2012? and also, does my concours "driven" Mustang have to have the phosphate and oil replication for a concours "driven" mustang? If so, I think MCA is taking this natural metal duplication thing to extreme for "CONCOURS DRIVEN" Mustangs......Thats my 2 cents....

No that is not what I wrote. I wrote that "use "natural colors - paints" to reproduce what was originally not painted. That is likely what will be accepted through the 2011 show season ".

Not sure where you got that?

Jeff wrote- "Have to make a correction you can currently use "natural colors - paints" to reproduce what was originally not painted. I think you were a little too quick to criticizes   ;) . Thats my 2 cents....   Bob

There has been a recommendation made for Concours Trailered class a change be made starting in the 2012 judging year, that no "natural" colored paints be used on surfaces that were originally not painted. The Head Judges started the conversation in 2009 or before so its not an overnight change.

On a personal note I found out the hard way (even in our dry area) that the treated natural surfaces held up better on the car I just completed last year. Did the painted stuff first but had to redo many of them before the restoration was completed. Not allot of fun
