69 351W 4V Air Cleaner Decals
« on: October 17, 2022, 05:13:06 PM »
This air cleaner is on my 69 Mach 1 with 351 4V. Does anyone know what the wrinkled unreadable decal on the lid next to the orange 351 decal is?

I suspect it may be the fuel filter number decal but cannot find any photos to confirm this. I don't know if it is original. The vehicle is a low mileage unrestored car I have owned for about ten years. It actually sat in a barn for eight years before that. So the decal is at least that old, if not older.

It is difficult to find photos of unrestored air cleaners to compare

Thanks,
John

Location (generally) of stickers would be the same as 2V. Since you didn't include when or where your car was built offering, at this point, examples through out the year and from all three plants

Did you happen to check out the pictures in the Unrestored Picture Thread.

As for the odd decal its not original and since you didn't post the dimensions may be a service sticker from an oil change or some other reason or as a reminder for the owner or shop that serviced the car over the years
