C4 Transmission Inspection Plate Finish
« on: May 29, 2017, 12:46:43 AM »
Question, should a C4 inspection plate be natural or painted satin black, I've heard answers of both so I want to set the record straight.

My car is a 64 1/2 Dearborn and has a smidgen of black paint left of it but not sure if this was from previous works on the car.

I'm assuming this question may apply across the board for all plants through 64 1/2 - 66.
Regards,
Dom

Semi-gloss black.  Originals I have seen appeared to have been dipped.

I'm also wondering which type of plating finish should the Torque Converter nuts be finished.  Manganese Phosphate or Clear Zinc.  Also, the bolts that attach the C4 Transmission to the engine.  What finish should the bolts and washers be.  I saw that AMK has the bolts in clear zinc.
